Exterior Design
The base LT rolls out with 17-inch all-season, 255-width Blackwall tires. The tire width gives you more support on slippery roads in Waynesboro. Halogen daytime running lamps and headlamps are also standard. But with an increase in trim, you'll see an increase in tire size and width. You can upgrade to a set of 22-inch black aluminum rims with 275-wide tires in the Trial Boss with LED fog lamps.
The first-in-class StowFlex Tailgate is a lockable hidden storage compartment located inside the tailgate. You can add this to any trim level with the LT Convenience package. You can store tools, emergency kits, and more. There's also a drain inside the StowFlex, so you can turn this hidden storage into a makeshift cooler. The standard 12V power outlet is available on the LT, but you can upgrade to a more powerful 120-volt box-mounted power outlet.
Performance
Each Chevy Colorado is powered by a 2.7L turbocharged engine with an 8-speed automatic. But you'll find different power outputs depending on the trim level. The WT and LT models have 237 horsepower and 259 lb.-ft. of torque. The Z71 and Trail Boss produce 301 horsepower and 390 lb.-ft. of torque. And the ZR2 is the most powerful of the bunch, with 310 horsepower and 430 lb.-ft. of torque.
The base models can pull up to 3,500 lbs. That's solid if you require minimum towing capability for your daily driver. But if you're looking for the most towing capacity in Waynesboro or Thurmont, the Chevy Colorado Trail Boss, and Z71 trims can pull as much as 7,700 lbs. Which gives the Chevy Colorado best-in-class towing.
Interior Design
At the entry-level model, you'll find jet-black cloth upholstery in the LT. With an upgrade to the Trail Boss or WT, you'll have Evotex upholstery for a stronger layer of protection.
