Exterior Design
The Chevy Silverado EV is built upon advanced Utrium architecture that stands as the backbone of the all-new truck. It offers Waynesboro drivers a view of the exciting future for Chevrolet electric vehicles. Along with the Utrimum platform, the Chevy Silverado EV features a multi-flex tailgate that can open six different ways to be used as a work area, bed step, and load stops.
The Chevy Silverado EV also features a panoramic fixed glass roof, making the interior cabin feel spacious. This allows all occupants to take in the sunshine while on the road. Further, it offers an intuitive midgate that opens up the cargo area behind the rear seats, allowing drivers to place objects up to 10 feet long in the cargo bed. Where the engine usually lies, there is extra storage space to store your gear and supplies.
Electric Capability
To power you along in the Thurmont area, the all-new Chevrolet Silverado EV is powered by a 200-kilowatt battery pack that delivers power through three electric power motors. The three electric motors combined deliver 664 horsepower and 780 pound-feet of torque in Wide Open Watts mode. The stratospheric power allows the new Silverado EV to go from zero to 60 miles per hour in under 4.5 seconds .
Moreover, the all-electric capability gives the all-new Silverado EV the ability to tow upwards of 10,000 pounds of cargo. The future Work Truck Silverado EV models can tow upwards of 20,000 pounds. For increased maneuverability around winding roads, the Silverado EV features four-wheel steering that delivers tight turns and less turn radius.
The Chevy Silverado EV offers a range of up 400 miles in terms of efficiency. This range comes courtesy of the 800-volt Ultrium power system. A standard 120-volt level one charger comes with the Chevrolet Silverado EV for charging. The available 240-volt level two charger delivers faster optimized charging power and can be installed at your home.
Extensive Safety Systems
Regarding safety, the Chevy Silverado delivers many advanced safety technologies thanks to Chevy Safety Assist. The standard safety features consist of Automatic Emergency Braking to go Forward Collision, Intellibeam High Beam Assist, and Following Distance Indicator.
Martinsburg drivers can add other safety features, including Adaptive Cruise Control that keeps you at a safe distance from the vehicle in front.
Interior Design & Technology
Inside the Chevy Silverado EV, the cabin offers PVC leather upholstery, allowing all occupants to sit back and relax while on the long drive.
