      It’s an iconic sports car if you are ok to see in real time the fuel gauge needle goes down every time you accelerate (no exaggeration here, the updated bigger injectors and revised air intake do make difference even in dated EJ257). Engine is torquey in all gears above 2000 rpm. The car is a beast, although kinda feels faster than it really is. Absolutely the best and most sophisticated AWD in class, period. To really feel the turbo kick in the pants, gotta wind it all the way past 4500 rpm, just to realize that it’s a bit too much (and too late) when you really need it. Steering is so informative that you can read the pavement. Brembo brakes are beefy and sweet looking but the rotors wear out very fast, even without crazy driving. Shifter is crisp but needs some get used to but eventually is very satisfying. Clutch effort is normal. Almost no TMIC heatsoak. The car feels lazy when driven normally. The screaming wing attracts mostly unnecessary attention. Worth buying if you’re a car collector or into Subie heavy modding.…

      Quick and fun to drive fun with automatic using paddle shifters. Fuel mileage fair. Very rough ride. Tons of road and wind noise. Sorta of a cult car as other WRX drivers wave or flash lights.Very good in snow with all weather tires (not summer tires).…

      I had wanted a WRX or STI ever since they came out in the North American market, and I finally got one (2017 WRX STI) brand new last year. The cars acceleration and handling are very exciting, the engine sounds great, and I always enjoy driving this car. I have had no problems in the first 9,300 miles. The ride is a bit stiff and the fuel economy isnt great, but these are things you expect going in with a car like this so it doesnt bother me. The Navigation system is my only real complaint, its a bit out of date at this point and it has taken me on some funky indirect routes before, but it does always get me where Im going. I guess it just wants me to take the scenic route with my STI!…
