Tires
By Tjn | on Tuesday, February 23, 2021
At 12000 miles i had 3 tires blow out on me at once. I almost flipped but thank God u didn't. Khumo tires are completely trash in my opinion because of this incident. Next kia deal will have to be with different tires if that brand is on them. I can always get a car somewhere else if they decline… - 2.0
4 year old car needs a new engine
By Burto | on Thursday, February 15, 2018
This car looks sharp inside and out but thats about it. I bought it used about a year and a half ago with 42,000 miles on it. Everything was fine for the first year. It drives smooth but doesnt have as much power or pep as the Mazda 3 I traded in. Ive changed the oil within 3,500 mile intervals, had brake pads and rotors replaced and and some sort of flushing that was required due to the GDI engine. About two weeks ago a loud clicking started happening anytime I accelerated. Of course Im past the Kia warranty period because the 10 year 100,000 mile warranty drops to 5 years and 60,000 miles for the second owner. Ive had the mechanic look at the clicking sound and theyre telling me one of the cylinders is damaged beyond repair and that Ill likely need a new engine. I thinks its absolutely ridiculous that a properly maintained 4 year vehicle is in need of a new engine. And to make matters worse, my extended warranty company is fighting me every step of the way and doing everything they can to deny my claim. So it looks like I will need to pay out of pocket to replace an engine on a 4 year old car that I just paid off. I will never buy another Kia vehicle nor will I ever recommend one to friend, family, or foe.… - 4.0
Very reliable, decent styling. Well optioned.
By LJ | on Saturday, February 27, 2021
I bought it new and honestly redline it all of the time and have never had a single hiccup. The styling is attractive and my “S Technology” package has 3 factory drive modes and the economy mode still shifts like brand new while sport mode has higher revving shift points with a noticeable stiffness in steering in said mode. Apple/Android car play is a must have but the vehicle of this year has a console lid that cannot completely close if the cord is plugged in. (When wouldn’t it be) So I drilled a hole in the lid and fed the cord through it. Both front windows are auto up and down and I recommend the sunroof.…
